how high off of my 55g tank should the 150w 15k mh's be?

usually i like to say to use 150 watt for anything less then 20 inches deep and 250 for 20 and above

o geez well that means i should have went with the 250's then huh? would you say that the 150's would be able to keep carpets alive if the carpet is on teh sand bed?
