got the call around 11am this morning, one of my co-worker drivers got rearended. he'll be fine hopefully, but here's what happens when you rearend a commercial truck...little damage to the steel frame, big damage to the fiberglass...gotta love dealing with insurance companies--i think i am dealing with 3 people now.

This is what happened to the car my friend was in this Saturday... unfortunately one of my sweetest friends ever died and my other friend (his sister) may be paralyzed for the rest of her life... the driver lost his legs... this guy was driving 65 mph on a 35 mph street and ran into a pole!!! It’s so devastating... be careful people!
did anything happen to your coworker?

That is horrible, it's good to show these things to remind people to be more careful and think of the effects their actions can have on others.

goodness, your picture is a lot worse :( i'm very sorry to hear your friend didn't make it :(
my co-worker was taken to the hospital after the crash. thank goodness he was wearing his seatbelt, although his ribs are either bruised or broken from it and he hit his head on the steering well or window, or something. the cab of the mitsubishi trucks are flat faced so there's not much room in them.
the other guy was standing and seemed ok, but this morning i bet he's in pain. i didn't notice it until my wife showed me, but the crumple zones really worked well to keep the rest of his truck in decent shape.

I'm glad that's all that happened to him! I hope he feels better soon.

RENOGAW- that blows, i hate insurance companies... they're to stingy.
DEMARTINI- i'm really sorry bout your friends.
wish i had a pic of my moms car (which'll be mine in 1.5 years). we were comin home from church on a sunday morning( a lil less than a year ago) and it was blizzarding. somebody was goin 75 on cruise control. they said they were going to a play. and they swurved into oncoming traffic, so they pulled the steering wheel all the way the other way, and they spun out, hit us once, we slammed into the gard rail, they hit us again (they were still spinning), we hit the gard rail again, and then they hit us once more. then they turned off cruise control and finally stopped. they had a mini van, and one of their doors ripped off, they had a hole broken in their passenger window, and their windsheild shattered.
as for our car,( mitsubishi spider eclipse convertable) every side was dented in, the paint was completely scratched off the sides. our windsheild broke out of its position, it just kinda fell off but didn't break. our turn signals, and all our lights shattered. my door got broken inward... the list goes on and on..
and our insurance companies are still fighting about it...
hope your problem gets solved easier than mine.

let the insurance battle begin!!
in one corner, a commercial vehicle, born in 1997 with almost 300k miles.
in the other corner, a residential vehicle, born in 2001? with less than that miles.
insurance adjuster shows almost $5k damage on my company's truck. plus whatever the estimate for a brand new tranny. i cannot believe they didn't just total the truck. it is mind boggling.
and even though the other driver smacked mine in the rearend, they have not accepted liability yet. what a bunch of BS.
my driver came back to work today though, he's feeling fine, just a little bruised.

My gosh!!! I've been in a very similar event. In Novemember a classmate passed away in a very tragic car accident. My friend, who was driving the car, crashed into a tree...the passenger went with the Lord two days later. When I saw pictures I didn't even know that what I was looking at was a car.
God Bless you!!! Just remember our lost ones are in a MUCH better Place that us and we will get to see them soon!
