By the time you replace the filter in that thing a couple of times you would have been able to buy a nice unit 4 or 5 stages and the cost of the waste water is min, and there is a difference between those units and something like the AirWaterIce, Kent systems etc......They don't remove half of what the 4 or 5 stages do, and they aren't cost effective
