For a reef tank you want to be at 1.026

That is actually specific gravity, not salinity. That is fine for a FOWLR. If you have a reef tank 1.025-1.027 is ideal.

:notsure: 1.02344 is where you need to be.

you're fine bud as long as you slow drip acclimate anything new to your tank. lower is a lot better than higher.

I've actually read on here quite a few times that higher is better than lower.
If you are keeping any inverts it needs to be 1.025-1.026.

Depends what your keeping in your system......1.023 is fine for fish, but corals will do better in higher salinity....1.025-1.026.

It's a trade off with good water quality and properly quarantined fish shouldn't have an ick problem.....but it can happen, but usually it's introduced or stress will trigger it......Again fish do better in the lower salinity levels, but if you have a reef with fish, you'll want a higher level such as 1.025 or 1.026 for your corals....they do better at that level than lower, so it's a trade off I guess.
