I just noticed that 2 of the 4 doors are bending from to much moister. I have now taken them off and lied something heavy on them so they will hopfully bend back. I was just wondering what you guys do or use to prevent this from happening again?
I coated all my doors and stand with water seal. Can't remember what exactly but it took a few coats and sealed the wood nice, now the water, if any just beads off and no problems.
Are your doors made out of particle board? I made mine out of oak plywood with solid oak trim and have no bowing. Have you considered making new doors for your stand. If its particle wood and has already bowed I think they're probably too far to save unless you remove them and some how rehydrate them and flatten them with weight till they dry out again.
My doors are made out of Oak Ply with solid oak stripes around the edges. 1 Problem I have at the moment is that my sump is in that cuboard space but will soon be in the Garage. And now I have just recently made my lid and the doors are solid oak but I wanna be prepared so they don't look the same as the others. The doors on my lid are a crazy size too 9"tall x 23 wide. They open upwards. I was thinking about getting some other hard wood and make strips on the inside so it will hold the shape better for the long run.
