How large of a tank?????

I'm looking for a new, larger tank (used) but am having a hard time finding one in my area. So, before I regroup, any opinions on what the minimum size is that I'll need for my ultimate fish list?
I currently have:
1 lemonpeel
2 false percs
1 royal gramma
I want to add:
1 emperor angel (this is the MUST have fish of the list)
3 bangai cardinals
3 or 5 green chromis
I cannot add anything more to my current tank, so I have to buy a bigger one. I really can't afford a brand new tank, which is why I'm looking for a used one.
Any thoughts/comments welcome!

Maybe like a 180. I bleieve that would be the minimum for an emperor. Either that, or a 150, MAYBE even a 125 if it is going to be the biggest fish in the tank. Check the classifieds section on this board, and look for sumthing that is close to yer area. Ull get a really nice deal thatll be worth the drive.

I"ve been looking for a 180, but haven't seen much in my area (tri-state NYC area). I'm kinda hoping that a ton of people say that a 150 would be GREAT! or that if I take something off my list it would be GREAT! Although I may feel comfortable with - it'll work, but it's not ideal.

Okay, then 150 would be GREAT. Just, dont add any other tank mate, The ones you have are relatively small, so you should be fine. Maybe a handful of rock clusters in the tank for the lil guys to hang out in, and you'll be set. There are usually people in the tristate area with their tanks for sale in the classifieds section, just keep an eye out and you will find one.

Yes, a nice skool of cromis would be grea, or maybe even 3 anthias. Those would be super fish. BUT, cromis are easier to take care of, and you could get a skool of like 6 in their no prob.

A nice 150 or 180..
Also, with those size tanks, you can add an emperor,
and a school of 5 lyrtail anthias ( 1 male, 4 females), which would look awsome!
Just make sure that you will not keep any LPS corals, anenomes, or clams with the emperor. :D

If your getting a larger tank, ensure your place can hold the weight. I have to postpone all my plans cause of weight issues

Yes, definitely set it up in the basement or on top of a very supportive floor. Possibly get someone to install more cross beams under it?

I've got a section of my living room that is perfect - it's the intersection of two main outside support beams - where the house was added onto in the past- that has great support. That's the least of my problems at this point! :) I've gotta find a tank, stand, canopy and lights that I can afford!
I'll just keep looking. I'm sure I'll find the right tank at the right price. Myhusband says that if we do this, we'll do it right and not settle for a lesser tank. So, I search and search and search.....
