How long before clowns take to an anenome?

I have had 2 percula clowns in my 29 gallon tank and I just added a bubble anenome. About how long does it take for a clown fish to seek out and take to a new anenome? My clowns have been in the tank for quite awhile and I just added the anenome 3 days ago.

I taped 5 pics of clowns all over my tank, there was no escaping seeing it from within the tank, yet my stupid tank raised(stupid me for buying tank raised) clowns had no interest.
It is always best to buy a clown that is already hosted.

Not all clowns use all anemonies for hosts. Certian species like certian species. Although your pick is one of the prefered for him, maybe he would use another better. I have had good luck with the Ritteri anemone and both true and false percs. On another note both have carpets as a top choice, but I have heard carpets are hard to keep so I have never tried it.

Could be a year, could be 2 days, could be never.
Good luck, the picture thing is a fine idea.
Tank raised may still host

Tank raised will host but give it time. It took mine almost 4 months. It will probally happen by accident. I think in my case my clown grew to a size that my flame angel saw it as compition and chased it into the anenome. The clown immediately realized it was safe there and took up residence.

My clown tried hosting my colt coral for about 5 minutes until it shriveled up. Never went towards the carpet anemone -- now it hosts a cave it only leaves to eat.
