I currently run VHO lighting, medium to high GPH. Add Calcium, stontium, Iodide, and others. I keep the lights on full for a max of 8 hours.

A new tank should start to get some Coralline spots after a few months. From there it typically grow exponentially until it becomes a pest.

exactly as bang stated, i couldn't wait for mine to start growing now i can barely keep up with it. my whole back of the tank(180) is covered so no need for a background and the sides are the same and now its a fight to keep the front clear for viewing so be careful what you wish for i guess.

you cant really put a time limit on things to grow but if you keep pristine water conditions then it will grow quicker than you think

wow, i've seen it all now.
