there's always a chance but usually most clownfish accept BTAs, my cinnamon did immediately, once he found it of course...

I've got a Perc, Clarkii and a Maroon all in seperate tanks. The only clown that hosted an anemone was the Clarkii. I have Seabea's in all three tanks. The Perc and Maroon don't even pay the anemone attention. I pulled the anemone out of the Maroons tank and added a few large feather dusters for looks and would you believe the Maroon just hosted the feather duster. He won't leave it alone. It's like love at first sight. Crazy damn clown. Now I have a Perc with three anemones and act's like they don't exist. Hmm, may be a few feather dusters would be in store for him too.

If i remember correctley the Percs and Clarkiies do not host the seabeas anemonie, the percs are very picky what kind of anemonie they chose.

I have 3 bubble tip seabea anemones (cause the lfs said there the best for him). I did read on sw.com that they like a bubble tip (pacific) or carpet anemone and that they are very picky... But, jeez anythings got to be better then a damn feather duster!

There is no guarentee that the clown will host the anemone just because they are in the same tank some clowns host hairy mushrooms and other corals it all depends on the preference of the clown. :)

What types of anemonies do percs like?

The Fine Print to keeping anenome's...
They will die, even the most experienced of hobbyists can keep them. In the wild they live for centuries, in captivity, not even likely to be 6 months!
