How long is to long?

I was wondering if someone could tell me how long you can keep RO DI water in a air tight jug before using it for water changes?

as long as you want. just make sure it's food grade. some people use regular trash cans and the ro/di will pull certain things from the material, in brute trash cans theyll be fine.
if you want to store saltwater, make sure the salt you use doesnt have any vitamins added like in Reef Crystals, regular Instant Ocean will be fine in a jug too

Thank you all, I have always wondered how long RODI water stayed good for. I keep it in a 6g container for drinking water that I got from a camping section at the store. I never store saltwater in it just plain water. I use it for water changes and top offs for my 12g soon to be little reef...
