How long should I keep pumps off?

My tank is currently cycling with 130# LR. I just added 100 Lbs of sand (60 dead, 40 live). The tank is very cloudy, obviouosly. Should I keep the pumps off until it all settles - or do is it better to have circulation keeping the wtaer oxygenated for the LR/LS, and let the sand settle over the next 24/48 hours? Will it settle with motion in the tank?? How long can I run without the pumps at a time?

Just went downstairs and the tank is clear....Thanks Earlybird...I left them on last night and it all settled nicely.
