Powerhead and heater. Start testing the water. This will be like cycling a tank. Depending on how much it was cured, how much die off it had, will dictate how long your process will take. Testing just like you do in a cycling tank until the spikes happen and the ammonia, nitrite are zero. You can do some water changes during the process. No lights should be necessary. Cleaningbrushingblowing them off from time to time before a water change to get rid of the dtritus. Try not to let the ammonia get above about .5 to .75 to keep any life on them in decent shape.

well if its in a tote with a powerhead, and a heater ur good.
now for how long...depends, if it was all ready cured, then the time should be short. as far as dead live rock, this could take longer. but being you said it was shipped, the rock should look like it has some color to it. so i would leave it in there for 2 weeks...some may say longer some shorter. if poss scrub the rock to remove all dead matter....
the reason i say 2 weeks is i would recommend a water change on your DT and use this water that was taken out of the tank and but it in the tote with the live rock....of coarse theres already water in the tote. drain it and fill it with the water taken from the water change.
this in hand will act like a water change to the tote, also allow new water to come in the tote that should have some life in it....
test every couple days. but more near the end when your ready to transfer them to the DT...also test for amm, trites, trates, phos if you can, and salt......your call if you want to put a small lite on this to start any kind of growth back on the rock before transfer.
hope i helped.....
