how long till amonia spikes w/ dead shrimp

i was just wondering how long has it taken people who have used dead shrimp to cycle thier tanks toget to the amonia spike?

An ammonia spike will usually peak at the end of one week.

mine started after about 5 days and took about three weeks to cycle completly
