how long to wait?

:help: how long should i wait, before i start adding any fish to my talnk if it set up and new. I know this is probley a stupid question, but i dont want to do it wrong, or to fast. I have 2 damsels in the tank right now and its a 55 gal. any suggestions?

Sounds like you've already added fish to your tank.
Monitor your Ammonia levels and if they're not 0.0ppm then don't add new fish. I recommend not adding more than one fish every 3 months unless they are a mated pair. Slow is good
You can prepare your system for fish by feeding a little heavier starting a week before you add a fish. This will grow extra bacteria to take care of the extra waste the new fish is going to produce.
