How Many Corals are Acceptable???

I plan on getting 14 corals within the next week
They are all compatible.
I have a 75 and already have 4 is 18 corals to much for the tank??
And is there a magic # or no

18 corals doesnt sound like too much for a tank, but i would be very careful in adding that many in one shot. You could end up killing everything.
my suggestion is to get something like one every week or two.
In this hobby, the longer you drag your ass, the quicker your tank will flourish.

I agree that adding this many corals at once, assuming they are not just frags, might be a bit much. Some corals require feeding and TLC (to find the right spot for light, current, etc) and you can overwhelm yourslef, the corals and your tank if not careful. Why so many at once?

That many corals at once will throw off your calcium and kh along with your other nutrients. Best to do 2 a week and see what it does to those values. There is no limit to corals in a tank, just keep in mind they will sting eachother or release chems and such to kill other corals. Do your homework and that won't be a problem. I know a guy with at least 30 different sps in a 90 with 4 4'vhos and 2 175 halides. Or was it 3.....
