how many firefish ?

I was told today at an lfs that you can only put one male fire fish per tank. True or false. Thay had 2 and had them in seperate tanks.

Not sure, but I think they're supposed to only be kept in pares.

i have a red and a purple in the same tank, but its a 125 gal too. not sure how theu would do in a small tank? todd

LFS says they are school fish and should be kept in numbers.

***** here has about a half dozen in one of their tanks and propbably an equal number in their display tank. The LFS also has a few of them in one tank as well.....

2 is a great number for these guys. (red/orange ones that is) I don't know too much about the purples except they are a lot more agressive.
Watch them though, they are carpet surfers if you don't have a top. Or you have other agressive fish in the tank.
