Get something bigger than a 300. I'm already wishing I wouldda went with 500 or more. My bamboo is only 28'' give or take a few and she makes the tank look small.

how long are 500 gallons
can you show me a pic of ur bamboo? ive never seen a bamboo thats that long, only smaller ones, well i have seen whitespoted and arabian bamboos that are like 2 ft, i got to touch em and stuff, they were in the touch pool with some rays... this is off the subject but honestly i dont think sharks and rays should be put in a touch pool, i mean the touch pool was filled with atleast 10 sharks and 15 stingrays, and the pool was only about 20-30 feet around, i felt bad for them, and the i went over to another small aquarium that they have, its like 30 gallon, if that probibly smaller, and they had 3 baby bamboos in ther with 4 egg casses hung over the top of the coral.... but the weirdest or the worst thing i saw was about 20 or more!volitan lions in a.... ---- i forgot what ther were called, but it was like a two sided bow front, u guys kno like a () shaped tank, and im guessing it was only like a 200 gallon if that.... it was the mall of america in ther aquarium section of the mall, but otherwise the aquarium was awsome, its like a 300 foot tunnel with black tip reef sharks,nurse sharks,saw sharks, and huge rays, im guessing Irenicus knows what im talking about because he lives over were i live.

8' x 4' by 2'(tall) is 480gallons. If you want to keep a bamboo for life comfortably, you might want to look at one of those. I sure wish I would have before I bought my 300. I'm going to do something in the 4 figure gallon area in the near future, I'm just house shopping for now until I can find the right basement.
