how many fish in a 100 gallon?

depends. all different types need different requirements but the "general rule" is for every inch of fish you should have 5 gallons. but this is not entirely true with some species some need more some need less

personally i think the lil general rule of thumb is kinda dumb because it pretty much depends on the certain fish for instance a large 25 inch eel will probally produce as much waste as a 12 inch trigger....ya see what im getting at?

with that kind of attitude it sounds like ur the type that crams fish into a tank just because it looks good. waste is not the only thing that determines what size tank you need. it is size and special requirements of each fish as well.

would i be able to put
3 yellow tangs
1 porcipine puffer
1 snoflake ell(already have)
1 maron clown
is that too many or is it alright...if its alright will all the fish get along?

Starting to get a little cramped with the tangs. I would probably lose one. I've got two in a 90 and I think three would be way to much. Add the lion and lose one tang.

I would nix the puffer or the lion. They tend not to play nice together. I'm not sure 3 tangs in a 100 will work or not, but I see what you want by having a little school of yellow tangs. Just afraid they might outgrow your tank, IMO. But a agree, either have 1 tang or a bunch.

would 2 yellllow tangs school together? and if i get rid of the puffer would i be able to have three or would they need biger tank for the 3?
