How many fish?

I remeber seeing a ratio of how many inches of fish you can have per 5 or 10 gallons. I can not remember. Does anyone know it off hand? Also, do your crabs, snails, etc. count too? Or is it just fish?
I have a 3 in. Clownfish and a 3-4 in. Yellow Tang. I want to add more but don't know how much more my 60 gallon tank can handle.

I think the rule is 1" per 5g. inverts don't count. That rule is pretty general though.
you should be Ok with a few more small fish.

Thanks. I was close on my thinking. I read a lot of different things. I found one site that said 2 in. per gallon  I knew that was not right. Only if you want a tank of dead fish!!!

There really is no absolute rule. A lot of it, and this hobby in general, is just some common sense. If you have lots of live rock and stuff in your tank to define territory you can put a few more fish in there. Whereas a bare tank the fish have no sort of refuge. But for smaller tanks, I would say 1 or 2 inches per 5 gallons is good.
