How many hours?

I heard 10-14 hours of proper light needed for reef tank with variety of hard/soft corals. How many hours do you have your lights on? How long have you had your tank? <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />

I allways kept my lights on for 8 hour to reduce alge

VHO 14 and MH is working up to 10 or so.

Pc's about 12 hours an hour before and after the Mh goes on.so it creates a sunup sundown effect and doesn't totally shock the tank..The Pc's are true actinic's and the Mh are then on about 10 hrs.
