I have one that was a hitchhiker. He is a little green fellow about an inch or so long. I wanted him to live in the sand but he seems intent on a little cave in one of my rocks. I have had him for almost 3 years now. In fact I just saw him yesterday for the first time in months. (He's normally heard not seen.)

I started out with 2.. but the mess they made was insane.. so I was so focused on removing them.. I had to take every bit of rock out of my tank to do it.. and I finally got them all out and I removed the pistol shrimp.. one of the pistol shrimp accidentally got their arm removed durnig the process... I felt really bad for it and decided to put it back in the tank........ so now I got the one who regrew his arm of course.. and he is making messes everywhere.. but im not about to re-remove all my rock.

sounds exactly like mine. small and green. came as a hitchicker and lives in some rock. only ive had mine since like june.
