it's not a salary of $180K. it's commission. thing is, you get people so motivated on making tons of money when they start out that they just sell sell sell like there's no tomorrow. they usually do make around that much for the first few months and then it starts to level off around $4-8K a month because, by then, people start getting burnt out. they come in at 9 & leave at 4. they party hard and have easily already spent the big bucks on cars and other toys.
take me for example. just a few months ago i went out and bought the Sonic Care toothbrush. what can i say....i love luxury.

I used to work with a bunch of idiots. The way that I resolved the problem. I quit, and went to work for myself. Now I'm the boss, and everyone that works for me gets along pretty well. Everyone can choose their own path, and they can choose the environment that they work in. I still have to deal with customers, but I can pick and choose who I'll do work for. If I don't like someone, then I'll pass on the job. Picking an ignorant customer will cost more money, and time, in the long run.
My wife used to complain about her co workers everyday when she got home. As I told her, I'm tired of hearing about, do something about it. She switched jobs a few times within a couple of years, until she found somwhere that she is happy. Now she comes home, and tells me what a good day she has had. Also notice a big difference in her day to day personallity.

actually, it is not so much my boss, but the owners husband. he has nothing to do with the company(not even say in firing/hiring or payrole, lol IF he only knew what they were paying me) and every time he opens his mouth or does anything, i have to play clean up. normall, she tells him to not even come near the shops at all. and that owrks out pretty good. It is just those days when he has nothing else to keep him out of my hair that i have problems.

That is ok, i told her that we need him, he keeps the balance in things, I mean you cant have law without chaos and brilliance without stupidity. so, he can stay just to long as it isn't all the time

Get used to it. They're everywhere you go and you'll work with them your entire career.
I'm a firm believer in this as well. I've worked with some cool people but everyone has their moments from time to time when you wanna smash their head into a wall. That's why it's called a job. Whenever you get a bunch of people together for 8+ hours that would rather be any place else but there and are only doing it for money, you're gonna have inter-personal issues or like they used to call it before our language got soft.....cabin fever.

well, i work at a publix. which is a grocery store. I dont usually have a problem with my customers. To me they are in and out and if they have a problem and dont like it they can go shop somewhere else. yet i am very nice to them.
As for co-workers the ones i usually work with are from ages 15/16-19/20. Recently this one girl i work with has been giving me an attitude because of something i susposedly said. High School drama. I am well passed that kind of stuff. The people i usually by choice associate with are around 19-21yrs old. I am 17 myself. This is very normal to me though. But, i prefer not to be around those kind of people, but if you ask me anywhere that hires 15 and 16 yr olds are going to be annoying. I pretty much stay out of everyones business unless it involves me. I really get annoyed when all they do is talk about eachother behind their backs but act completly innocent when in front of them. Most of these GIRLS are at least 2 yrs older then i am, and dont understand.

Yet again Purity, a great thread.
I know exactly what you guys mean. I work in the customer service office of a warehouse. Truth of the matter is, I occasionally struggle to hold up conversations with some of my peers at work but for the most part, I think it's because they're all older. I'm 24, live check-to-check and struggle anytime something happens.. they're all in their 40s and 50s, are established, have kids my age, and worry about things that I consider to be on a grander scale than my own problems (mortgages, property taxes, septic tanks and other various non-sense). So, that all said, there are a lot of things that I feel a little out of my league on when having conversations with these folks.... So it's no really a stupidity thing in my case....
HOWEVER.... the people that work IN the warehouse (like the pickers, packers and the like) couldn't be any more simple.... and it drives me nuts. It's beyond stupidity. Crude, burly dudes eating doughnuts while using the urinals... Grown men rubbing snot and smearing their faces on freshly cleaned windows.... guys in general mocking people in my office when they hear us using words too big for them to comprehend.... UGH.. they just disgust me. I truly look at them as peons... the bottom of the barrel... people that would just be digging ditches if they weren't at my place. I hate being around them sometimes... Nevermind trying to hold a conversation with any of them...
It's not just them either... we've got a classic white-trash, 24 yr old, drama-queen in the office too... you know, the type to argue with her husband during company time on the company phone, loudly enough for everyone to hear... the type with the husband that waits for her outside in the car whenever she goes to a company get together.... The kind that openly complains about how "she does everything" and never gets accknowledgement... The kind that actively seeks the attention of older (sometimes married) men so she can feel better about her own insecurities and the obvious lack in quality of her own relationship. The type that hates other women that get hired and get more attention.... God I could go on and on. The freakin' sulking and whining... Sometimes its hard to believe that people can be so childish at such ages...
Phew!! I feel pretty good now!
