how many people name there fish

one thousand, five hundred, and sixty-two...
I've said it before, I'll say it again...
I named my fish so that when I want to refer to one, it's quicker and easier. Like "Hershey", instead of that chocolate chip star...
And I have an awesome unidentifiable snail that I just call "lips" cause that's what he looks like on the glass. Didn't name them all though. And nobody out there doesn't refer to their perc. as "Nemo" to newcomers!!

fish all have names - my wife is in charge of pet names.
janitors - nope ... got over 100 hermit crabs and 100+ snails - so we just call them dead or alive

and of course the poor clown gets called NEMO by EVERYONE that looks at him :nope:

I'm going to stop naming my marine critters. It just makes it sadder when one of them dies! Like my poor eel Milton, who was eaten by one of my other eels, Golum. I actually got attached. Stupid, I know.

Thats the one thing I dont like about going into the lfs, theres always someone there to say, "Look its Nemo". That drives me insane

Oh well, let them have their fun. I was probably like that a fewyears ago too.

that does drive me insane as well nemo dont bother me to much , but for some reason when they call hippos dorie that drives me bonkers

That's not stupid! I get so attatched to my fish. It was really hard for me to get rid of my velvet damsel when he started getting mean, because he was about 3 inches and I had him since he was hardly an inch.
And I cried when my fuzzy dwarf lion died. He was so awesome.

i yell at my fish when they die. i had a goby that died so i chewed him out for spiking nitrates.

i'm voting yes, but i dont name all of them, in fact i have yet to name my clowns and chroms. my LMB is lawnmower man and sally lightfoot is sally, but my daughter likes solly better for some reason. we have a crab we call monster and so far i think thats all we have given a name to.:happyfish

Of course I name them - and when I moved and had to get rid of them, I interviewed the guy who was buying them. He sent me emails telling me how they are doing . . . sigh, I still miss Ursula and Ching
:)
