How many Perculas in a 20 gallon tank?

How many Perculas can I have in a 20 gal tank?

one or two...no more....and two if they are a mated pair...else it might turn ugly with time

in a 20 that would be fine. But i wouldnt suggest an anemone. They ---- like crazy.

Do not put more than 2. If there is 3, or more, two of them would pair up when they grow up and kill the other(s).

FrozenIce, are you getting all this information about clowns from your LFS? I have seen you give info in three threads on clowns, and the info you gave is not all correct.

you can have 600 clowns in the same are no prob, what you normally wind up with is one big arse harem. reversed tho, the larger more dominant will be female and the lil cronies will be male
now, in a 20 gallon? i would go with one MAYBE 2 at he max in a 20 gal.

The 600 clowns part is correct, if they ar juveniles or they are in like a 5000 gallon lagoon.

Not that I would go do this but I was at the shedd aquarium last week and counted 18 (probably more) perc clowns in a tank the couldnt have been more than 150 gallons. None of tehm were fighting while I was watching (got mesmerized by the corals and anemonies in there) but i could see how it would be a harem.

Hmmm... I would bet my paycheck they were not Percula. You can do that with Ocellaris but Perculas will fight in captivity with more than two unless they are all juvenile.
