I have the set up listed below. How many and how large of power heads do I need for a 75 gal tank with some sps coral (don't know what kind yet). I also have about 120 lbs of Fiji rock. Thanks for any responses. I currenly have a RIO 1700 near the top of the left hand side of the tank and two small (rio 800) facing one another at the bottom of the tank.

Four 300 GPH units
Two pointed at the surface for tension at opposite sides of the tank, one pointed across the front of the tank, and one more maybe for counter current in the front.

From what i remember you want to turn the tank over roughly five times an hour...SOOO you need enough power headage to do that. Those three i guess would be enough i don't know the gallons per hour. Your basic water flow in the tank should just be uniform throughout. You should have even a slight flow in the hard to reach places.
If you ever notice "stuff" building up or ending up in one spot in your tank constantly then you should try and adjust things to get some water going through that spot.
BTW please rate my advise... Im just got a LF job :)
