How many power heads?

I am putting together a 75 and am getting ready to purchase power heads. How many do I need and how many gph do they need to be each?
Second, can you throttle them back on the flow?

Being totally new to this I just need a good place to start. I can always add more, I just dont want to go way over or under power

I'm not sure if there is a certain brand you are looking for. But you could probably just get a couple of 402's and be fine. I had a 75 a while back before I got my custom tank and started using big pumps and lock-line. All I had was two 402's and they didi the job.
