How Many Snails?

I have 6 snails in my 46 gallon and the back of my tank appears to have plenty more to clean. Do I need more? How many do you have?

I have about 100 in my 58 gallon if there is more food for them i would go ahead and get some more just dont over do it so that they eat EVERYthing and die from lack of foods in the tank.

I have about a zillion little tiny ones that were hitchikers that multiplied, you are not counting them are ya? You have 100 for real? I'm talking large snails.

nope not counting any of them I bought 100 nassarious snails and put them in the tank and some tiny conch looking snails. its not counting ANY of the probably 100's of teny tiny ones that have hatched out that are hiding in the rock work. I also have a ton of chitons or limpets still havent figured out which they are yet because they are so small.

I forgot to add that I feed alot because of my mandarin goby so I keep algae growing even with that many snails on the glass. To take any pictures I have to knock them off the glass to get a good picture LOL

WOW, thats a lot of snails, gotta get me some more. I have a lot of weird diffrent colored stuff growing on the rear of the tank behind all the LR, its hard to get to. The tiny ones I have are purple and white swirls, any ideas what they would be? I have so many its INSANE. They are definitaly multiplying.

with out a pic its hard to tell though there are so many different variations in snails its not funny.
here are some of the chitons or limpets that I have this is one group there are probably 100 or more of these guys they are even on the glass in places.

unfortunitly I don't see it there. They are smaller than a pinky nail and have a round shell with a purple and white swirl. I will have to take a picture of them tomorrow. Actually I would say its the same size as the smile face on the right, (when you reply or write something) licking his lips.
