I am looking to purchase a new lighting system. My tank is a 120gal, 60" across and 26" deep. I am looking to get polyps, anemones and possibly some soft corals. No clams though. What I am looking for is a wattage range that I should be in, if anyone could help?
Thanks people

anemones need more light than most soft corals....were u going for a reef tank with mostly corals and a couple of fish or vice versa? What kind of setup were you looking for basically?
A word to the wise: books and more books! Reading about the subject can only benefit you and it usually is better if you get into this hobby with a little bit of knowledge about it.

Well, there lies another problem. I am probably going to have to set up a second tank because I don't think the large angels I have will live with polyps, possibly the anemones because I do have a few clowns. But my grey and koran already pick at my fake stuff. So to answer your question, yes I will have a reef tank, just going to be a second tank.
