How much algae for my tang

Hi all, wondered if someone could tell me how much algae (dried wafer type) to feed my tang. I don't know if it's eating all of it but in a day a 2 inch piece is gone. Could it just be getting soft and dropping off?
thanks!

If it just dropped off you would prob c it. Look at your tang, does his belly look full? My foxface tears my sea weed up asoon as I put it in. But u can tell he ate his belly is plump

I feed my tang and foxface at least twice a day one with a generous portion of marine algae strips and a mixture of frozen Mysis mix some say feed only once a day but that depends on the fish, in the wild they graze and eat all day but in captivity you have to worry about contaminating your tank, Like Jay said see if their belly's are full not pinched if so their eating but look closely they might need a little more than just one little strip as fish get bigger so does their appetite good luck
PS It also depends on how big your tang is at the moment( if small then it eats small portions and so forth)

Thanks all. He's definitely getting enough to eat, he was kinda skinny when I got him but not anymore. (May 3rd.) He's only picking at the algae, so it's mostly pellets and Misis. His belly looks a little lumpy though and he's developed 2 whitish spots.

Kinda all around. Don't look like ich, bigger, now not white. Getting better, had been overfeeding, (hard not too, he's a piggy) 3 small water changes this week.
