Well there are biocubes which come in 8g, 14g, and 29g and then the nanocubes come in 6g, 12g, 24, and 28g Reef (awesome) and the Aquapod i think come in 12g, and 24g, there is also a Red Sea Max 34g and is $699Euros. They run anywhere from $79.00 and up (what ever 699 Euros equals).
I have a 14g Biocube for $125 on sale though.

a 12 gallon nano normally would cost $80-150 depending on light configuration. online is cheaper.

i think its cheaper to buy a 12g tank for like 15 bucks and buy the filter/lights separate. nano cubes are around 200 bucks and are difficult to put a skimmer in if your doing reefs

Skipper, just fyi theres a new product out there, called sapphire nano skimmer, google it, ive heard great things about it. BTW a nano-cube will run ya about 90-150, depending on the size or the light config, theres a new Metal Halide model, that includes a skimmer of a 28 gallon nano cube available direct from JBJ or you can find it if you google nanocustoms. Bio cubes are unneccesarily more expensive IMO, and harder to mod than nano-cubes, im not sure about the Aqua Pod, or the Red Sea max, and I HIGHLY doubt that its 699 euros, thats near 800 USD theyre more around 300 euros, or thats what ive seen.

After set up, stocking, adn regular maintenance, EXPENSIVE. Not to mention CONSTANT ATTENTION must be considered. I am over 2 grand into a 24g. But I am finally starting to frag and make a few bux back, but it will not even sustain my normal additives/maintenance let alone any new corals or whatever I add. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Or should I say dollar?

Too much IMO, just buy a cheep rectangular tank and a light and filter. The way I see it, (i'm assuming your new to the hobby) nanos are cool for people who want to try some thing new that already have a nice display tank. If you spend the money on a nano and then get addicted like all of us, you will want to upgrade and then that money is gone.

I would check local classifieds...i just picked up a smoking deal for an established 12 gallon nano with stand complete with, 2 clowns, LR, LS, some kind of crab, hermit crabs, and snails. I just added some new water from my LFS and it looks great! It was less than a year old...I got my 60 gallon with stand and canopy from someone local for $300 with LR, LS, w/ sump. Their are deals out there, just have to get lucky! Good luck!

I think the RED SEA is the way to go. If it was available when I got my JBJ I definitely would have gone the RED route. It has a TON more features than any new JBJ. As well, it is bigger, and comes with all the options of putting mods in, meaning it is designed for a chiller, etc. You can find the RED SEA for like 550 USD. Just make sure it is filled with water once before you buy it.
