-20gal=$20
-Sand=$8/10lbs.
-R/o H20=64 cents/gal at Walmart
-Skimmer=I wouldn't settle for some cheap product,It would do you good to spend money on a decent skimmer.
-Coctail Shrimp(To Start a Cycle)=$1?$2? (Could go with LR But will cost you more)
-Test Kit=Go for salifert, bit pricey but a good product!
-Heater=10-20 Bucks.
-Lights=Depends what you want,Fish only or Reef.
Just to start $200-$100 bucks would be good just for the basics.
The Skimmer,Live Rock, and Lights is where it gets ya. But i wouldn't go cheap on the Skimmer. I have a Red Sea Prizm and it gets the job done, was like 100,But would like something better someday.

Coralife digital thermometer-$5
50W Jager heater-$16
Coralife single strip 65W PC light-$51
24" versa-top-$15
Marineland Emperor 280 filter-$29
plus...
spraypaint for the back and bottom-$7

PVC structure-$11
MJ 900 (borrowed from DT)-$17
and then...

in addition...
your live rock-$125 for 25lbs -$5/lb

Not to burst your bubble, but did anyone mention unless you're going Nano...it's probly a better idea to maybe upgrade that to say a 55G?

Check the local papers for used tanks and equipment, there was one in my paper today, 55g salt set up, sand, HOT filter, heater, hood (basic), skimmer and mics items for $200, good way to get started from there you could develope some skills and information and upgrade the equipment as you understand the dynamics of how to care for a SW tank. Unless you are buying a Nano ready tank, I would not go with anything under 55g untill you understand the basics. Great way to start a FO tank
