How much light needed for refugium?

Just finished adding my 10 gallon refugium to my tank, 20 lbs of caribsea aragonite fine sand and a few pieces of LR rubble with a bit of calurpa growing on them.
What lighting should i be looking to get? I will be running this as a reverse daylight fuge, would a 40 watt flourescent work out ok, and if so, what type of bulp should I be using, 6500, actinic, ?

I have a 13 watt 6400K light over my 5.5 if that gives you any help. It seems to work great.

How is a 40 watt flko going to fit? That would be fine over a ten gallon, but isn't it 48 inches?

Oops, guess i shoulda checked the dimensions on the 40 watt. Doubt it will fit. Will try something a bit smaller =)
