How much lighting for fowlr?

I have a 75 gal fowlr tank. I only have two 40watt bulbs now. My Question is how many watts per gal. does a fowlr need

as many as you want to enjoy the colors. Your fine if you only keep fish but you will see more color with more light

for a fowlr full spectrum florescents can do the job.....adding blues can show more exotic colors on the fish...

sounds like you have enough.. just as to what kind?? well as you can see it up to you.. the blue(actinic) does bring out the colors better.
as for watts... you do have enough.. i got 4x40's on mine....went to lhs and bought lighting fixture you would put in shop...bought bulbs from lfs....
just dont plan on more then that you have now.....if you want more need more lighting...

Thanks for the replys. I was wondering if I need more lighy for the coralline algee to grow on the lr.

I have a 55 fowlr/ls and run 100 watts of no floursent light.......2x30 watt blue actinic and 1x40 watt combo......coraline is progressively increasing......slower than in my reef with tons more light but it is growing...........

Thanks Nm reef i was thinking of adding a pc smartlite 2 65 watt pc bulbs.
