how much lighting for zoo's?

Precisely why I am confused since I have also read ont that same sight to use PC or VHO lighting for a zoanthid set-up in responses from staff.
I know that I am always afraid to buy gorgeous zoas that are under halides in a photo or at LFS just to have them fade to mediocracy under my power compacts.

If you want to put them under vho/pc, and have them look good, just make sure you slowly move them toward the surface once they are acclimated to your tank. All told they will still do better under MH.

Make sure you have some decent flow on them if they are high on the rockwork under mh bulbs or you might get algae covering their stalks like I did on mine.
The odd thing was that my zoos didn't seem to mind the algae at all. It was thick on the stalks almost like a coat.... but no algae was on the head parts.
