How much lighting??

Currently have a a 92 gallon corner tank that I am setting up as a reef tank. I have not yet conquered the true understanding of lighting, although everytime I read something, it seems to be a bit different than the last thing I have read...this is what I currently have:
36" with 96 watt 10,000K Daylight and 96 watt True Actinic 03 Blue Compact Fluorescent Lamps plus two 3/4 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED 470nm Lamps.
I want to add a MH light eventually, I do know that...but is this alone enough lighting to sustain simple low to medium lighting corals?
Will the Actinic blue compacts contribute to excessive algea growth?? ( I read this somewhere)...
My tank also has a glass top that is currently in place....with the lights on top...should this be? or should my lighting hang above an open tank? I have seen it both ways and am just curious....
Any suggestions/clarifications would be greatly recommended...thanks..

And this may be a stupid question, but does the amount of lighting effect water clarity? I have seen tanks where they look a bit cloudy with minimal lighting ...and when extra lighting is added..they appear clearer.....

I have my lights in hood over tank, no glass. I heard somewhere that if you leave the glass top on between the lights and tank, it creates a "greenhouse effect" and can fry your corals and kill them.. Don't know for sure though.. open top provides for better gas exchange too

Leaving glass over the tank will lessen the intensity of your lighting, trap heat, and effect gass exchange. You should remove it if possible.
