I've got a 16G bowfront tank and I'm eye'ing various places for purchasing live rock. About how much should I be looking to purchase (some will get chisled into a AC HOB fuge too...).
Thanks!

I forget where I read it, but I recall seeing 1.5 / 2.0 pounds per G. I'm just curious how much everyone else is actually doing in practice and how much real-estate that covers in a tank :)

well, i have a 55g tank, and i have 90lbs of LR. You should really have 2#'s per gallon of LR. It's the best filter you can get!

Here's a pic of how i have it setup... only takes up a little more than 1/2 of my tank space the way i have it setup. Sorry, the full tank shot is blurry, but you get the idea...

Very nice. I was thinking "more is better" until I saw that I could easily throw down $100 for around 30 pounds of LR. I'll keep shopping and hopefully some deals will show up. I'm also thinking of a multi-phased approach of just getting the LS and light going this month (with my current two damsels) and then next month getting the LR and doing the conversion on the AC HOB fuge. Break up the wallet shock over a couple of months :)
