How much live rock is needed for 100 gal?

I'm gonna setup a reef tank how much live rock is enough to setup on a 100 gal tank? And also do I need a lot of light or just medium light to get start the cycling?

You actually don't really even need light to get the cycle started, actually as the tank initially cycles lighting could amplify an algae bloom.
How much live rock you need varies depending on if you're useing it as a primary filter and how you want to aquascape it. In general about 2 pounds per gallon seems to be an average for a reef.

I agree, 2 pounds per gallon is a good number.
