How much salt?

<My specific gravity is about 1.021 and i have some hermits in there and they're doing great. I tested the water at the local store where i got them and it was the same... According to research, it needs to be about 1.025, but I need help.

what's your temp?
1.021 isn't really too bad. Topping off with saltwater for a while can bring the salinity up.

the SG will vary with temperature, shoot for around 78-80 degrees and a SG of 1.023 for a fish only, and 1.025 for a reef tank.

most marine life can survive in a varied degree of salinity...but not a quick change in salinity...one you establish your tank...make changes slowly.
