How much sand?

How many pounds of sand will it take to have a 4-5" DSB in a 75 gallon tank? I'm going to move soon and would like to change my crushed coral to sand.

Use the formula below(measurements are all in inches)
length x width x desired depth of sand bed x .0579 = lbs needed for desired depth

if it helps any Aragamax, Aragamax Select, and Aragamax Grand Bahama sand give you less depth for the same weight. other aragonite based sands will give you about 25% more volume for the same weight.

That's good to know. I think I'm gonna go with Pure Caribbean Aragonite in 40# bags.
