how much sand?

1-2 lbs per gallon is what I've heard.
I have 150lbs in a 90g so that's roughly 1.667lbs/g.
I like it because I have an eel, wrasse, goby, and trigger.
My eel has plenty of depth to bury in. My wrasse can sleep, my goby can eat, and my niger...well I haven't really figured out what they do with the sand other than make a mess.

I have 80 in my 46g, 110 in my 75g and about 280 in my 240g. I try and get mine where it's about a 2.5-3 sand bed roughly.

Ok a very uneducated question I know but I will ask it anyway. How deep of a sand bed do you want. Also a sand bed is not the ideal place for a eel to call home

Also what type of fish are you thinking about having, sand isn't a must have in a FOWLR or less. Im shooting for 2-3 inch sand bed and thats preference on look not fish.
