How much water should i change in a 26 gallon tank?

I'm having a green algae problem still in my tank. I'm having trouble with my nitrates. How much water is a safe amount to change in my 26 gallon reef without disturbing the corals or fish?

10% water changes should do it .... how many fish and how much and how often do you feed them?

i have 4 fish, 2 shrimp, a bunch of snails and hermits, and a feather duster along with a bunch of corals.
i feed once a day in the morning. enough to feed them for about 4 minutes

What type of fish? Four could be pushing it in a 26 gallon.

change 3 to 5 gallons. stick with 3 but no more than 5. With my 55gal. The only reason I change water is it replenish the salts and used water. I have gone 2 weeks with my nitrates being 0.

You may be feeding your tank too much? or you may not have a strong enough clean up crew?

I would change 2.6 gallons or 3 gallons.
