How mutch LS to a 55g with a 4 1/2(200lbs)inch DSB
?? and does the play sand go down first last or inbetween????

sea wraith i know i'll need 200lbs of play sand for my tank but how mutch LS to play sand will i need????

corvett it all depends on ls and how fast you want your lsb to start working some people just let rock seed it. IMO I wouldnt go crazy whith it maybe 20 or 30 lbs ontop 100 playsand

watch the contents of your play sand. not all is compatable to marine life.are you using a plenum space or just as a substrate?

i don't know i'm gonna use either quickcrete or southdown sand and i'll used 4 bags of is so i'll use 200lbs of one of em wich ever one i find in my local area and i'll do a 4inch bed and then like 10lbs of LS mabe idunno so i'm gonna use it as a filteration basicly
and do i gotta vacume ANY LS out of my tank after it's in there?like for water changes
