How often do y'all clean your skimmers?

Mark, that is the CS 8-1 sitting there. I don't think there is much protein on my carpet...will probably work better when I put it in my sump and turn the pump on.

i wish mine fit underneath the sump (im an idiot) i bought a nice skimmer online and didnt even think about height. now im stuck with a skimmer haning on the back of my tank
