How often do you test your water????

salinity every 3-4 months
calcium every 3-4 months
alkalinity every 3-4 months
ammonia only if my tank looks really awful.only on the begin
nitrate only if my tank looks really awful
water change every 6-8 months on my 300 mixed sps
every 3 months on my skimmerless cowfish tank.

if ur tank is small, then testing often is required. big tanks parameters dont really change all that much.

you only do a water change every 6-8 months on your SPS tank?
