How Often/How Much do you change Water?

Yes, the evaporating water doesn't take any of the "junk" (fish poop, left-over food, etc) with it, nor will adding RO water as a top-off replace the trace elements that are in the salt mix.

i have mixed sps on my tank i change only 15-20% monthly. i maybe i should do more but the corals are doing great

Kind of funny question. I once did an experiement and did not change my water for 8 months. I would have gone longer, but a couple of my clams died.
I generally do a 50% water change on my personal tanks once every 6 months.
On my clients tanks, I change the water bi-monthly or once a week. (mainly because that's how I make some money) Regardless if the tank needs a water change or not.
