I feed my fish every other day, to once a day. If I go away for a week, I feed them ED the week prior, and dont feed them when I am gone. I would rather not feed them than risk having someone else feed them. I also have a large population of copods in my tank that the fish eat

I actually feed them in the morning and before turning the lights off.
If I don't feed them at night, they get all crazy and they are just going from one side to another.

I use to feed twice a day and my nitrates spiked pretty high so I went down to only feeding once a day and they went back down.. Feeding once a day has worked out much better for me. IMO

I feed once a day...between the time of 5pm and 9pm...this is when i do most of my eating too...we have a LOT in common. I also feed when the light are one. My fish are just like me...we like to see what we are eating. I also vary their diet between flakes and frozen. One day is flakes, the other is a half hunk of frozen food...hope that helps!

I feed my fish three times a day with garlic guard, the nitrates stay down afterwards too. IMO this is effective with so far, great results. (i have smaller fish which consume less food just to keep in mind)

feeding schedule for my 55g is Sunday thru Wednesday, once a day in the evening. Thursday & Saturday twice a day. Friday, no feeding.

Feeding is 100% dependent on your particular fish.
What do you have in your tank? How big is tank? Refugium? How old is tank? Only after we know this can we address how often you need to feed.
A young or overstocked tank will not have as much natural food. A Refugium adds food to the tank. Different fish need different feedings.

Thanks guys,
This is really helping me a lot.
My tank is 180 gls with refugium (20gls) under the tank, the tank has been up and running since september 2007. I have one medium Salfin and one Damsel.
Also I have 2 cardinals on my QT.

I feed my 125 every 4 days but I only have 2 small fish and most of my inverts just eat all my snails.
I also have issues with hair algae.
