How often to feed a juvenile eel???

I just got a snowflake eel yesterday. He is currently in my QT tank doing very well so far. He is about 5-6 inches. I got him to eat a brine shrimp last night. How often should he be fed? The LFS said every day when they are that small, but I've read on other websites that when they are that small they should be fed every other day. I figure I can get some advice from the experts.

For the first few weeks/months you have it, Id feed it as often as itll take food, every other day is plenty, an eel certainly wont starve. Once its fully acclimated to your system (3-4 months) youll know when it wants to be fed because itll be swimming around. Sometimes itll eat every day for a few weeks, then itll go a month without eating, Ive never had a problem and have snowflake eels over 5 years old.

I fed him a small piece of brine shrimp last night and he took it immediately. I fed him some krill and shrimp today and after one of each he came back out looking for more. He acted like he was starving.

I have brine shrimp, krill, and silversides to feed him. Is there anything else that would be good and healthy for him? Most sites just say meaty foods. I'm going to try silversides tomorrow.

Try the silver sides, ween him off of the brine because it has no nutritional value.

OK, besides silversides and krill, is there anything else I should try. He is a beautiful animal and I really want to see him grow.

clams, squid, shrimp, silversides pretty much any meaty food that is sea based is fine for them as long as they are small enough for him to eat.

I got him to eat a small piece of clam today and also a silverside. It seems that for now he'll eat just about anything. Should I be soaking any of these in vitamins before I feed him? Just curious.

I'm not sure but I think he is storing the food in the rocks and hopefully eating later. Today the shrimp I fed him was meant for the lion but he didn't want it. The eel took it disappeared and came back almost immediately. It was a rather large piece for his size. Is it possible thats what he is doing or are eels that fast of eaters.
