Is it pathetic that the first thing I do when I get home is check to see how much my skimmer pulled out (not to see if it is fixing to overflow, just how much gunk it got out over the coarse of the day)?
The minute I get off of work it is the first thing I think about.
Anyone else?

I'm with ya bra...its the first thing I do when I wake up, get home from work or anywhere else. I am skimmer crazy. I can not get enough of it. I spent 350.00 on a ETSS skimmer that works well. Now I am looking at the $814.00 Deltec apf600 skimmer. I am willing to redesign the whole sump of the tank and I'll have to get a new one of those as well to hold this thing..

Sorry guys, but I like looking at whats in the tank, not under it

My wife gets mad that I spend more time with the fish and the animals than I do with her, but the funny thing is that when I didn't have the fish and animals she was getting mad that I didn't leave her alone...go figure... :notsure:

I'm about as pathetic as one can get!
When I hooked up my skimmer and emptied the first cup of scum...I was so amazed that that I actually saved the scum in a pitcher for over 8 hours until my husband got home from work so he could see it. I had never used a skimmer before and was in total awe at what it had pulled out of my "clean" tank. I excitedly greeted husby at the door and said "You've got to see this..it's the most amazing thing!" and lead him to the bedroom where our tank is....You can only imagine his disappointemnt when this "amazing thing" turned out to be a cup of scum. He did not share my entusiasm.
