How soon for PVC?

I just plumbed the pipe for a used Berlin skimmer I got from a friend and I used the Purple PVC Primer and PVC glueon the joints. How long after I applied the primer & glue is safe to add it to my sump? I have it running in my bath tub right now to clear out chemicals. Thanks for your help!

Is that due to the chemicals or due to the seal not being waterproof? Thanks!

Chemicals. You don't want the vapors to mix with the water. Also, when I did mine I blew some air thru the pipe before I hooked it all up. Remember, blow out not in, I felt a little woosie for a couple hours. LOL
