How To Add Fish

I was just reading right now about acclimation. Do I have to do that with fish from the lfs. There are 3 fish stores that are about 5 minutes away from my house. Do I have to acclimate everything even like snails and crabs. The lady at the fish store told me to put them just like if I would add freshwater fish.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

Acclimation is DEFFINATELY recommended for ALL your new critters. This site gives info on acclimation and acclimation times for all the creatures it sells.
The reason for acclimation is so that the fish can get used to your tank water. All tanks arent the same and the LFS can be different than yours.

I would always acclimate everything you put in your tank. Run a search on this site and you will find several techniques and methods to acclimate fish and inverts. Most fish need at least 2-3 hours of slow consistent acclimation to your water before adding. Trust me it's time consuming but well worth it.
